Technical Production Plans 

 

This includes:

• Fabric swatches - present neatly and labelled with fabric name and composition (eg. Cream Crepe Cotton - 100% cotton)

• Quantity of material 

• Notions required - thread, zips, buttons, elastic, beads etc 

• Itemised cost - the individual cost of all material and notions 

• Total cost 

 

It is easiest to present all this in a table. Use headings and underline or bold to make it easy for the marker to read. 

 

• Order of construction -

  • Logical, step by step instuctions.

  • Not as detailed as instructions on a commercial pattern.

  • Eg. you only need to say "sew french seam", not details of how do a french seam.
